Eliteboard Launch

Here's what I plan to have on the Eliteboard when moving the MoFo here. I might make a simplistic pm system and search if there's a lot of demand.

forum trees sharing stats, level, and settings

path links (Mobius Forum / Spam Protection Agency)

cool templates

move forum

apply member and forum settings to this forum, some subforums, all subforums, all subforums using same base template

users should have the option of whether they want the designated title ranks

invisible in users online and admin ability to see anonymous users

total forum and topic post counts (how many posts are posted, like user post counts)

If you think something else is very necessary before the move post here.

Buzzbomber: The page you get when you log in is a bit sparse (just saying logged in and giving you a link to the forum you came from), which could disorient some people. Maybe having a list of all the forums on that page would be more convinient?

I think a PM system and search engine would definitely be good features. Plus a list of themes for each member to choose from in case they don't know CSS.

I agree with most of what Deck said plus this is a suggestion I put in the Suggestion thread in the Elite EVC that I think would be nice to put in:

i've got the emoticons covered. i could easily make them before the launch.

as for the topic at hand, i'm almost certain that nothing else is neccessary until after everyone's settled in, though a popular complaint would be how it 'doesn't look like ezboard.' i'm unsure about how you could go about fixing that.

perhaps the problrm is clutter...try un-bolding all the text on the tables, perhaps, and making the tables have greater width, and perhaps even spacing/padding.

it looks better without the bold. i cant see it being a problem anymore but i guess i'll be proved wrong when one of the people who dont like it come along.

there's something else i thought of that isn't neccessarily urgent: icon resizing. there needs to be something that constricts the icon image if it's bigger than the limit, like ezboard does. maybe make it so for the avvies and sig images too.

Yea. Definitely. 15 x 15 would be good. 20 x 20 max. Also maybe have the login fields on them main page.

I've noticed when I clicked on my profile that it has a place for age, gender(great idea), etc. but the age, etc. thing isn't in the control panel but I assume that gonna be fix. When you do fix it, for age could you put a month, day, year format for it because that is one of my biggest peeves of EZBoard is that it only ask for the year you were born making you're age turning over at the beginning of the year not on your birthday or birthmonth. Also, I am accustomed to hitting the back button alot, and when I hit it, on the EZMoFo, the page automatically refreshes. Are you gonna fix it where the EliteMoFo will automatically refresh when you hit the back button?

One thing I've found, or rather haven't found is an inbox. Do we get an inbox here? Those are nice for keeping in touch with folks here, especially in RPs.
